*9/10/08 - CANCELLED!*

Hi everyone,

It is with great regret that I announce that I have to cancel the Miss National Georgia State Pageant due to lack of participation.  We have had NO entries, and no one has booked a hotel room (the hotel's booking deadline was tomorrow).

I apologize for any inconvenience.  I have tried everything I can to not have to cancel, but I cannot have a pageant without contestants.  I think the economy is hitting everyone pretty hard right now.  Someone even asked me to lower my entry fees, but I could not do that, because even with my fees what they were, I was still losing money on the pageant.

I have no plans to reschedule State, and at this point, I will be shutting the entire Miss National Georgia pageant system down.  I cannot monetarily afford to continue to attempt to host pageants when no one enters.  (I already have to pay large cancellation fees to the hotel.)  I greatly appreciate your willingness to help and to support pageantry and my endeavors, and again, I am so sorry for any inconvenience.
